The Sentinel backrest is designed to partner with the Sentinel care suite and care seat (no lid). The backrest can be positioned (as per the line drawing) to achieve a support angle of 10-15 degrees per the NZ standard. 

The backrest has easy to remove screws that allow it to be detached from the wall without having to remove the fixing brackets and cover plates.
